Mariella De Dios, LMSW

Mars (they/them) is a Licensed Master Social Worker and therapist working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They received a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mars is supervised by Sarah Kincheloe, LCSW-S. They provide individual therapy to children and adults of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations as well as couples and family therapy.

Being inclusive is Mars’s top priority as a provider! They have worked extensively across numerous demographics, including: immigrants, refugees/asylees, veterans, BIPOC, and the LGBT+ community. Mars is also a strong advocate of individualized, holistic care–not just treating symptoms. Their approach to therapy is trauma-informed, client-centered, eclectic, and intersectional.

Mars’s "intersectional" approach to therapy is based on the idea that people's lived experiences are shaped by EVERY aspect of their identity. This includes, but isn't limited to, race/ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and culture. All of the pieces that you're composed of are important because they're what make you, you.

As a queer brown immigrant, Mars understands the necessity in connecting with providers who are inclusive, affirming, and most importantly of all: safe. Whether you're BIPOC on foreign soil or LGBT+ without the support of allies (maybe both; maybe neither), please be assured that they will always prioritize your safety and integrity above all else!
