JC Chang, LMSW

JC (She/Her) is a Licensed Master Social Worker and therapist living in DFW, TX. She received her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington. JC is supervised by Sarah Kincheloe, LCSW-S. She specializes in anxiety, chronic illness/pain, life transitions, stress, and mental health struggles in adults and the elderly.

JC provides a safe, warm, and non-judgmental environment for her clients to share important information, process their life experiences, and heal from traumatic events.  She provides individual therapy to adults of all ages, genders, ethnic background, and sexual orientations. She understands that life at times can be full of challenges, obstacles, and unexpected events that can shake a person’s foundation and prevent them from living their best life.  She is committed to helping adults overcome life’s challenges through a holistic, supportive, and person-centered approach. She employs several therapeutic methods and personalizes interventions to suit her client’s needs.

JC believes that the most important factor for success in therapy is the client-therapist relationship. For this reason, she aims to connect with each of her clients and provide a growth-fostering dynamic characterized by mutual respect, empathy, and authenticity. She believes that every person has within them the wisdom and insight on what is needed to heal. She collaborates with her clients to explore concerns and identify changes needed to help them feel better and enjoy life.  She endeavors to provide tangible skills and tools that empower her clients to utilize their strengths to help them achieve their goals.
